I cannot see anything obvious in Event log either. Obviously I don't want to do that every couple of minuses (say when I leave my laptop to allow screen saver to trigger on) so I use TrackPoint which is working all the time. I rather need to shut the laptop down to get TouchPad working back. I then reopen Mouse setting and Enable TouchPad option is greyed out. Once I OK Mouse settings TouchPad stops working. I then can see Enabled TouchPad option checked on. Usually after the screen sever triggers on, or, when for example I open Mouse settings and go to ThinkPad tab. In my case the symptoms were (and still are) it works, then after couple of minutes/hours it stops working. Trying to fix it I was removing this driver, to install it again. What for Lenovo?
